Volunteering

Volunteers play a valuable role in the development of our museum.

Thanks to a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund we have created more opportunities for volunteers to get involved with Killhope.

Volunteering can take many forms. We currently have volunteers working with our team restoring our heritage buildings and site, helping with social media and marketing and assisting with ongoing maintenance tasks.

Why volunteer?

As a volunteer at Killhope you’ll become part of our enthusiastic and friendly team. You’ll have the chance to gain experience, learn new skills, meet new people, increase your confidence and most of all; you’ll get to have fun!

Please email cultureandsportvolunteers@durham.gov.uk or call 03000 266 555 or if you’d like to get involved.
