When you meet Jane Peart you won’t forget her. She’s the woman who cleans the Mine Agent’s office and she knows everything you need to know about everyone and anyone. So, join her for a gossip and let the lives of Upper Weardale folk – dramatic, sad, funny, and tender – wrap themselves around you.
A promenade theatre performance which will take you on a wander around Killhope as Jane tells you tales of her life there in Victorian times. Suitable for all ages and mobilities – this performance takes place outdoors on the flat accessible areas of the site.
Written and directed by David Napthine and performed by Shelley O’Brien.
Wednesday 28 July, 4 August, 11 August and 18th August.
Performances at 11.30am and 2.00pm.
